Lisa Occhino is a pianist, songwriter, singer, and entrepreneur from Stamford, CT. In December 2013, she graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music with a bachelor’s degree in music business/management.
During her time at Berklee, she was awarded the Songwriting & Composition Scholarship, the Joseph Smith Scholarship (for entrepreneurship), the Justin Kantor Scholarship (for internships), and won first place in the BMI Foundation’s 15th annual John Lennon Scholarship, a national songwriting competition.
Lisa’s music ranges from playful songs to ballads evoking feelings of inspiration, encouragement, and coping. In addition to piano, she has broadened her musical interests to include guitar, harmonica, ukulele, synthesizers, and Hammond organ. She released her first EP, Discovery, during her senior year of high school, and she donates 20% of every purchase of a hard copy to benefit the Stamford Young Artists Philharmonic Outreach music program. In April 2011, one of the songs from her EP, “The Pain Behind Your Eyes,” was featured in a compilation entitled Love Conquers All: Music for Japan, where 100% of the proceeds were donated to Save the Children’s disaster relief for Japan.
